I grew up always knowing where I came from. My grandfather in my mother’s side of the family came from Peru and we were always taught not to forget our roots. Maybe we grew up in the midst of the Californian sun and went to UCLA to study, but I and my brother never forget our origins. And I know that deep down; I have this longing to visit the places that I only knew through our grandfather’s stories. I would like to see for myself and follow an Inca trail and feel the breeze against my skin, the same breeze that my grandfather felt running along those same trails when he was still a little boy. And since I can remember, I have always dreamed of some Peru vacations but my family never had the resources to make a go for it. But now, that I can afford to have one, I asked my family to go with me and have some real Inca trail tours.

My grandfather is too old to travel so he is not coming with us, but he is not too old to give us the instructions on where to go. He wants us to visit the exact places that were familiar to him.
